Author and educator Alynn Mahle will present a memoir writing class on Mondays from April 23rd-May 14th from 7- 9 p.m.
While designed for non-writers, the class will encourage all students to record personal and family stories. Classes will include opportunities for workshopping and in-class writing. There is a 35.00 fee for 4 sessions.

The Hessler Street Fair sponsors an annual poetry contest. Winners take the stage at the Hessler Street Fair (May 19th & 20th) and win cash prizes. Contestants will read their poems at Mac's with last year's victors choosing the winners. Each poet has their poem published in a chapbook which will be available at the reading.
Check this out, it's a really entertaining evening with a wide variety of poets.
